Administrative Assistant

The Workers’ Compensation Reinsurance Association (WCRA), a nonprofit association providing workers’ compensation reinsurance protection to all Minnesota insurers and self-insurers, is seeking an individual for the position of Administrative Assistant.


Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for the premium department
  • Review documents for grammar, punctuation, and compliance with company standards
  • Prepare pre- and post-audit documents for premium audits
  • Perform preliminary review of member data submissions for accuracy and completeness
  • Coordinate and monitor projects
  • Prepare and monitor mailings
  • Maintain departmental procedures
  • Review correspondence and checks created by claims staff for accuracy and approve
  • Track, scan, and label documents in Association's electronic documents storage system
  • Process daily mail on backup basis
  • Perform receptionist tasks on a backup basis

Education and Skills: 
  • A high school diploma or equivalent with six years administrative assistant experience; or completion of an accredited secretarial school program with four years of experience
  • Strong organizational and prioritization abilities
  • Clear and accurate understanding of grammar and punctuation rules
  • Ability to draft, proofread, and correct documents
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong aptitude for working with numbers
  • Ability to work on a team or individually
